Many cities and municipalities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia have suffered from significant and influential floods over the past decades, which severely and directly impact citizens, property and infrastructure throughout the Kingdom, causing loss of life and costs during these events, as these municipalities do not have a comprehensive strategy, including hydrological studies and guiding plans to avert flood risks and drain rainwater.

• Collecting the necessary data and maps.
• Studying all valleys affecting the scope of the project.
• Studying the expected rainfall rates on the basins affecting the scope of the project.
• Studying rainfall losses and determining the hydrological units for the parts of the basin.
• Studying the flow rates resulting from the basins.
• Developing the master plan for draining floods in the project.
