Uptown Jeddah Company (UJC) is a subsidiary of the Public Investment Fund with the aim of establishing a new special economic zone hub for trade and related activities based on the growing role of Jeddah Airport as a major logistics hub in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Uptown Jeddah is closely linked to the growing city of Jeddah and is expected to be a catalyst for social and economic change in the area north of Jeddah Airport.
Study objectives
- Verifying the ability of the transportation system in the study area to accommodate the increase in vehicle volumes resulting from the construction and operation of the project under study.
- Estimating the capacity and operational indicators of the road network links and intersections around the facility before and after the construction of the facility and addressing the negative impacts as much as possible.
